HVAC Assistant; Cincinnati, OH

Job Summary

The HVAC Assistant assists the HVAC Lead Installer in all heating and cooling product installations, ensuring timely completion, compliance with all applicable codes, and delivering high customer service.

• Assist in installation of new Heating and Air Conditioning systems and related accessories according to company, safety, and manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure complete protection of customer's property during installation or service of product.
• Remove all old equipment from customer's premises and clean up areas for new installation.
• Maintain the highest level of customer service while performing installation duties and promoting additional products and services.
• Manage time effectively and ensure quality completions.
• Maintain material inventory and vehicle upkeep as required by company.
• Promote additional accessories and items available to each customer.
• Assist in obtaining all required permitting based on company, city, state, and county code requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license for the state of employment.
• Up to 100% travel required.
• Minimum age 18 years old.

• Applicable CFC license.
• Ability to communicate, read, understand and apply written technical text.
• Complete knowledge of all tools, equipment and materials used to perform services on HVAC units.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to work variable and flexible hours, including significant overtime, overnight and Sunday service as needed.
• Ability to follow appropriate industry specific regulations related to hazardous materials.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, reach and climb.
• Ability to drive and travel long distances.
• Ability to drive in various weather conditions for long periods of time.

• Strong HVAC diagnostics knowledge and experience.
• Residential HVAC and duct installation experience.
