BG Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to support a busy multifamily community in Columbus, Ohio (43215). Position Details

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
• Location: Columbus, OH 43215
• Employment Type: Full-time, contract/temporary

Position Overview

The Apartment Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in helping the property catch up on outstanding work orders while ensuring apartments and common areas are maintained to high standards. This role requires a hands-on professional who can work independently with minimal supervision and efficiently manage daily maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete and close maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Perform general apartment maintenance including:
  • Plumbing repairs (leaks, fixtures, toilets, sinks)
  • Electrical troubleshooting (outlets, switches, lighting)
  • Appliance repair (refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers/dryers)
  • HVAC troubleshooting and basic repairs
  • Drywall, painting, carpentry, and general repairs
• Prepare units for move-ins and turnovers as needed
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Communicate clearly with property staff regarding work order status and priorities

Requirements

• Previous apartment or multifamily maintenance experience is REQUIRED
• Ability to work independently and manage workload without direct supervision
• Must have own tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume work order environment
