Leverage your technical expertise to keep people connected to what matters most. As a Field Technician VI at Spectrum, you'll take charge of complex installations and troubleshooting for large enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities• Take pride in surveying, installing, and maintaining complex network products for large enterprises.
• Engage with business and residential customers, understanding their unique priorities and providing exceptional service.
• Implement large multi‑site projects, configure edge devices, and provide field support for optical connections.
• Mentor junior technicians and collaborate with technical support personnel for advanced troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications- Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. - License:
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record in accordance with company standards. - Schedule:
Ability to travel, including during inclement weather, to and from assigned customer premises and company facilities. - Language:
Fluent in English. - Experience:
Must be a Field Technician V and have completed courses for Field Technician VI.
- Walk over various terrains and weather conditions while carrying tools and equipment.
- Safely use weight‑bearing equipment (up to 345 lbs) and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Climb ladders up to 32 feet and work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Operate and navigate a company vehicle in changing environments. Work with small components and wires.
- Work outdoors for extended periods in any season and inclement weather.
- Understanding of Spectrum products and services.
- NCTI Master Technician Certification, HFC Networks Certification, or SCTE Business Class Service Specialist;
Cisco Certified Entry‑Networking Technician Certification or Cisco Certified Network Associate.
- Base pay generally ranges from $22.30 to $40.80 per hour and is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
- Eligible for additional incentive‑based compensation such as bonuses.
