Modern Packaging is excited to welcome a Field Service Technician to our growing Aftermarket team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting our customers and ensuring their equipment performs at its best.

We‘re looking for a motivated technician based in the Midwestern United States who thrives on solving problems and building customer relationships. In this role, you‘ll serve as a trusted technical resource for customers with operations across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.

Do you enjoy this work?

Install, commission, repair, and maintain Modern Packaging automated machinery at customer sites, including both electrical and mechanical work Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to achieve contracted efficiency rates, perform audits, install upgrades, and deliver follow-up operator training

Document all service activities (installations, commissioning, repairs, and upgrades) in detailed site reports

Support customers by recommending machine upgrades, retrofits, and spare parts that improve safety, performance, reliability, and inventory management

Train customer personnel during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities

While not traveling, support the Modern facility in Deer Park, NY by assembling and testing new machines and participating in customer Factory Acceptance Tests Maintain flexibility to adapt to diverse work environments and resolve issues quickly

Placement within our salary range is determined based upon years of directly relatable experience for your position. These components, along with local and national compensation survey data, contribute to deciding a candidate's potential starting rate of pay.

Total compensation includes your pay, potential short-term incentive opportunities, comprehensive medical/dental/vision programs, as well as life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off programs, a retirement savings plan with a company match, and a wellness program. Base Salary Range: $28.00 – 37.00 an hour

Previous experience as a Field Service Technician (or similar) with 3+ years of machine startup, repair, and maintenance on medium to large-scale industrial equipment

High School Diploma required;
Associate‘s Degree in a related technical field (mechanical or electrical) preferred
