We are seeking an Apartment Facilities Maintenance Technician to deliver high‑quality service and maintain a safe, welcoming community for residents. The role includes completing a wide range of maintenance and repair work while supporting the overall appearance, safety, and readiness of the property.

Responsibilities
  • Complete service requests and work orders in a timely manner based on priority
  • Prepare apartments for new occupancy, including unit turns and make‑ready work
  • Perform repairs and maintenance in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC systems
  • Support preventive maintenance activities as assigned
  • Assist with exterior and structural maintenance needs across the property
  • Help maintain grounds and common areas to support a clean and welcoming environment
  • Coordinate with vendors, schedule service as needed, and inspect completed work for quality
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Assist in the coordination and performance of landscape maintenance duties, maintenance of mechanical equipment and irrigation systems, and snow removal
  • Serve as part of a team responsible for carpentry, masonry, and painting functions related to facility maintenance
  • Serve as part of a team responsible for layout, assembly, installation, testing, repair, and adjustment of electrical distribution and wire communication systems, including motors, lighting fixtures, generators, circuit breakers, and transformers
  • Assist with HVAC maintenance, customer service requests (hot/cold calls, odor complaints), and testing/inspection of water and life safety systems (sprinklers, fire pumps, emergency generators, etc.)
  • Assist with plumbing, refrigeration, and mechanical systems related to facility maintenance
Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with an on‑call rotation approximately every nine weeks.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of related work experience
  • General knowledge of HVAC mechanical and life safety systems
  • Knowledge of codes, principles, and techniques for installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of HVAC mechanical systems and devices
  • Experience and skills in carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical maintenance, plumbing, HVAC maintenance and operations
  • Ability to install, maintain, repair, and operate moderately complex HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems and devices
  • Ability to troubleshoot and test moderately complex HVAC mechanical systems and components
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Leadership skills, competencies, and experiences may take precedence

Job Conditions

Working in a building maintenance environment with potential non‑standard hours and rotating shifts. Requires ability to lift and carry objects weighing over 50 pounds, push/move up to 100 pounds, work at heights, operate in various weather conditions, and handle cleaning chemicals. A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record is required.
