Industrial Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift

Location: Columbus, OH

Shift: 1st Shift (Day Shift)

Pay Range: $22–$25 per hour or more based on experience

Position Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician (1st Shift) is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility systems and equipment. This role ensures that all building systems, production equipment, and support machinery operate safely and efficiently. The technician will also coordinate with specialized contractors or vendors when advanced repairs are required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general facility maintenance and repairs
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including AC units
  • Maintain and repair industrial machines and mechanical equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and facility systems
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and unexpected breakdowns
  • Identify larger or specialized issues and coordinate with appropriate contractors or service providers
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of industrial or facility maintenance experience preferred
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical systems, and basic electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs independently
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in regulated or high-compliance environments
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards
  • HVAC certification is a plus
