Administration and Planning | FOD Operations Student Life District - West Maintenance Under the direction of a senior technician or supervisor, the Facilities Building Systems Technician 1 performs intermediate-level tasks to maintain a safe, comfortable, and operational environment. This role supports the continuous functionality of mechanical and utility systems, equipment, and indoor air quality.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Provide building support services, including inspection, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair or replacement of building systems and equipment.
* Respond promptly to emergency situations involving electrical, mechanical, or medical gas disruptions; assess and resolve issues and initiate appropriate protocols when problems cannot be immediately resolved.
* Assist other trades as needed to ensure seamless operations.
* Adhere strictly to all safety practices and procedures.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
* Attend meetings and complete required documentation.
* Deliver high-quality customer service and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors using written, electronic, and verbal methods.
* Operate departmental vehicles as required.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.

* Work schedule (shift, hours, days, and/or location) is subject to change based on operational needs and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
* May be required to work overtime and be available for 24-hour emergency call response.

* Qualifications:

** A high school diploma is required, along with a minimum of two years of experience in building systems operations, commercial or industrial building maintenance, and/or HVAC and building automation systems. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
** Certification Requirements:
** The following certifications must be obtained during the probationary period:
* ** EPA Section 608 Technician Certification – Universal**
* ** OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Safety and Health Card
** Successful completion of the probationary period also requires demonstrated competency in each of the technical specialties relevant to the responsibilities of this position.## Additional Information:

The Target Hiring Range for this position is $23.70 - $29.63 per hour##
