What You Can Expect
  • Be subject to 24‑hour emergency call and perform repairs, replacements, troubleshooting, and installations of electrical systems and equipment up to 600V class.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance, upgrades, and inspections of electrical utilities equipment, including lockout/tagout procedures and test equipment usage.
  • Overhaul motors, replace bearings, operate cranes, lifts, and other equipment, and maintain electrical equipment in all ENGIE operated utility plants and systems.
  • Read and update blueprints, electrical diagrams, manuals, and schematics; make sketches, modification plans, layouts, and design circuits; maintain records and reports.
  • Assist higher‑classification electricians with installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of 5,000‑138,000‑volt electrical distribution equipment, direct contractors, and perform other duties to safely and efficiently operate campus utility systems.
What You’ll Bring
  • High School diploma or equivalent or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience as a commercial/industrial electrician, with at least 4 years demonstrating installation and maintenance of 600V class electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of basic principles of electricity and related terminology, ability to read technical manuals, schematic wiring diagrams, and volt‑ohm‑amp testers.
Additional Details
  • This role requires attendance at a worksite on a daily basis.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license; will drive company vehicle while onsite.
  • Experience with 15kV desired, but not required.
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
  • This position consists of 50% outdoor work; employee is exposed to weather conditions. Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to use a personal computer.
  • Some lifting is involved.
Compensation

$30.43 - $40.52 USD per hour. This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
