Maintenance Service Professional - Grove , OH

Must reside within 20 miles of Grove City, OH.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday.

The Maintenance Service Professional provides commercial and industrial minor equipment repair and preventive maintenance services in big box retailers and other facilities, and may also include general facilities’ maintenance and refrigerant removal for recycling.

• Administrative & Communication (30%): document all work performed on equipment; maintain parts inventory; file expense reports; replenish tech stock; communicate with business partners and leaders; provide excellent customer service; complete all required training.
• Compliance & Safety (10%): perform all work in accordance with safety practices; comply with THD and Safety rules; complete pre‑ and post‑vehicle inspections; adhere to company safety and vehicle standards.
• Preventive Maintenance & Light Repairs (60%): perform light industrial equipment repairs and preventive maintenance; respond to on‑site preventive maintenance calls; conduct day‑to‑day maintenance and repairs independently while adhering to safety; perform general preventive maintenance tasks such as inspections, greasing, operation checks, and replacement of minor parts; troubleshoot and problem‑solve minor equipment issues; travel between store locations as needed (some overnight stays may be required);
  
  perform other responsibilities as required.

This position reports to the Market Supervisor or Regional Equipment Services Manager. No direct reports.

Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment (some heavy or awkward). May climb equipment and work at heights up to 20 feet. Must be able to lift or handle materials or equipment up to 80 lbs. Exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, oils, chemicals, and loud noise. Periods of prolonged standing or walking.

Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes that cause moderate risk of accident or illness.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Willing to obtain EPA 608 certification and perform refrigerant removal for recycling.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Medium proficiency with electronic technology (tablets, smartphones, laptop).
• Valid driver’s license for the state in which you live and work; good driving record; ability to pass MVR review.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Two years of relevant work experience, such as general building maintenance.
• Basic electrical experience.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and parts lists.

For residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nevada, New York City, Ithaca (NY), Westchester County (NY), and Washington, the pay range for this position is between $22.00 and $25.00.
