Low Voltage Technician
This role supports large-scale data center projects by installing, routing, and terminating low-voltage cabling and related infrastructure to a high professional standard. You will focus on clean conduit work, organized cable management, and code-compliant installations while contributing to testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities in active construction environments.
Responsibilities
- Install and secure conduit, raceways, and enclosures in a clean, organized, and code-compliant manner.
- Route low-voltage cabling through trays and pathways, ensuring neat and labeled installations.
- Pull, label, and terminate CAT5, CAT6, fiber, and control/communication wiring according to specifications.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics to build systems to design requirements.
- Perform basic testing of installed systems and support commissioning activities as needed.
- Assist with troubleshooting low-voltage systems and resolving installation or wiring issues.
- Operate lifts and work overhead safely to install conduit, cable trays, and cabling at heights.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project lifecycle.
- Follow all safety requirements, site rules, and jobsite protocols at all times.
- Use required hand tools and test equipment properly to complete daily tasks efficiently.
- Collaborate with other field technicians and trades to coordinate installation activities on large data center projects.
Essential Skills
- At least 2+ years of experience in low-voltage, structured cabling, or commercial electrical work.
- Hands-on experience with conduit installation, cable routing, and terminations.
- Ability to pull, terminate, and label CAT5 and CAT6 cabling and other low-voltage wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, prints, schematics, and installation details.
- Familiarity with basic testing and troubleshooting of low-voltage and communication systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Comfort working at heights and in active construction environments.
- Ability to lift up to 50–60 lbs as required by the job.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to complete OSHA 10 training on personal time.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $34.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
