Job Summary
The Ecohouse Electrical Lead will oversee field electrical work, ensuring compliance with codes and maintaining the highest quality standards. This role also oversees maintenance and repair of solar power systems, including photovoltaic system wiring, connections, and safe operation, integrating solar energy systems into residential, commercial, or industrial applications.
Primary Responsibilities- Support oversight of field electrical installations under a licensed electrician.
- Review electrical drawings and site‑specific designs to prepare for construction.
- Install electrical equipment for solar construction, including DC/AC wiring, junction boxes, conduit, inverters, combiner boxes, and disconnects.
- Interconnect systems to existing premises wiring.
- Troubleshoot issues with new and existing systems.
- Perform additional electrical work such as installation of subpanels or replacement of main service panels.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electric Code and jurisdictional requirements.
- Collaborate with electrical and construction managers to maintain high‑quality installations.
- Assist with all other solar installation responsibilities as needed by the business.
- Work 10‑hour shifts, travel in state, and occasional overnights.
- Strong enthusiasm for renewable energy.
- Capability to lift over 50 lbs. and perform demanding physical tasks.
- Comfortable climbing ladders, working at heights including on pitched roofs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces.
- Open to working in various weather conditions.
- Self‑driven and enthusiastic about learning.
- Focused on providing excellent customer service.
High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years electrical experience with solar or similar construction/trade experience. OSHA certified.
Work AuthorizationApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis. Sponsorship is not supported or available.
Salary Range$67,150.00 – $ (base pay only). Incentive earnings, such as commissions or bonuses, are not included. Eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance.
