Responsibilities
- Complies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment; correct unsafe acts or conditions, participate in monthly safety meetings, perform monthly safety inspections and investigate accidents as required.
- Supports and follows the SQF guidelines of the food safety system.
- Follows company policies, SOPs, practices and the Global Code of Conduct.
- Supervises and coordinates the employees and activities of the electrical maintenance department.
- Provides and plans technical training and establishes individual development plans.
- Plans and estimates electrical jobs, recommends procedure revisions, and determines procedures for maintenance, installation, modification and repair of electrical assignments.
- Inspects work to ensure compliance with standard procedures and electrical assignments.
- Examines electrical services for proper working procedures.
- Plans and executes electrical dispatches using the L2L system.
- Requests and adds electrical components and materials to inventory as needed.
- Plans and executes electrical preventive maintenance work, overseeing the electrical installation and maintenance program including preventive maintenance of plant machines.
- Identifies inefficiencies and potential electrical problems and coordinates with subordinates and contractors to resolve issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Working knowledge of electrical controls such as PLCs, drives, motors, HMIs and communication switches in addition to electrical power distribution.
- Ability to apply intensive and diversified evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Ability to effectively instruct and train other employees.
- Strong communication, writing, reading and comprehension skills, and ability to follow complicated verbal and written instructions.
- Experience troubleshooting 24
VDC, 120AC and 480AC electrical circuits; programming PLCs, frequency drives and other controllers for proper equipment operations. - Capability to troubleshoot, adjust and repair all electrical equipment, solid‑state circuits, components, logic boards, transducers, amplifiers, PLCs, frequency drives and inspection devices.
- Capable of reading and editing AutoCAD drawings and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Capacity to wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices.
- Ability to travel less than 10% of time.
The annual base salary range for this role is from $104,800 to $117,900, plus a quarterly target bonus of 12.5% of base salary.
