Description

Sharpline Communities is a fast-growing multifamily operator managing over 1,200 units. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our communities. At Sharpline, we use modern systems and real-time communication tools to ensure our maintenance team has the resources and support to succeed.

Key Responsibilities 1. General Maintenance
  • Complete work orders, unit turns, and make-ready tasks.
  • Maintain apartments, common areas, and grounds in excellent condition.
2. Inspections
  • Perform regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
  • Ensure facilities remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
3. Preventive Maintenance
  • Carry out seasonal and annual preventive maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
  • Proactively identify issues to minimize emergency repairs and costs.
4. Team Collaboration
  • Work independently and with the maintenance team to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate with management to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
5. Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all safety procedures and building regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergency or after-hours maintenance requests.
6. Technical Skills
  • Repair and maintain building systems: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in a timely manner.
7. Documentation & Inventory
  • Track and close work orders accurately in the system.
  • Maintain organized inventory and clean, safe storage areas.
8. Project Support
  • Assist with property upgrades, renovations, and capital projects.
  • Ensure all work meets company standards and timelines.
9. Resident Communication
  • Interact professionally with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Provide updates on repairs and address concerns courteously.
Requirements Qualifications
  • Experience:

    3+ years of general maintenance; apartment/community maintenance preferred.
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/vocational training a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of building systems; HVAC certification preferred.
  • Skills:

    Computer literacy, maintenance software proficiency, strong communication skills.
  • Physical Ability:
    Lift up to 50 lbs., work on ladders up to 30 ft., perform physical tasks safely.
  • Other Requirements:
    Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, own basic tools.
