Painter Helper / Apprentice – Start Building Your Career
Martin Painting & Co. is looking for dependable individuals interested in developing skills in commercial and industrial painting. If you're looking for an opportunity to learn a skilled trade, work with experienced professionals, and build a long-term career, this position provides hands‑on experience in a professional painting environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist experienced painters with daily project activities.
- Help prepare surfaces for painting and coating.
- Assist with sanding, scraping, cleaning, and masking.
- Help protect surrounding surfaces and equipment.
- Assist with paint and coating application.
- Help move and organize materials and equipment.
- Learn proper use and care of painting tools.
- Assist with equipment setup and cleanup.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced crew members.
- Follow company safety procedures and jobsite requirements.
- Work as part of a team to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Previous painting or construction experience is helpful but not required.
- Willingness to learn commercial and industrial painting.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Comfortable performing physical work.
- Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and at varying heights.
- Must be clean shaven for respirator compliance when required.
- Reliable transportation.
- Smartphone required for timesheets and communication.
- Ability to work at least two weekends per month.
