Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technicianisresponsibleforthereliability ,safety,andperformanceofIMHFragrance'sliquid-filling,packaging,andfacilityequipment.

Thishands-onroleperformspreventivemaintenance,troubleshooting,repair,installationsupport,andequipmentimprovementsthatprotectproductionuptimeandproductquality.

Thetechnicianalsomanagescriticalspareparts,supportsafter-hoursneeds,andtrainsdirectlywithmachinevendorsonnewandevolvingtechnology.

• Maintain,diagnose,andrepairfragranceandliquid-fillingequipment,includingfillers,crimpers,cappers,pumps,conveyors,labelers,coders,compressors,andrelatedpackagingsystems.
• Respondquicklytoequipmentfailures,determinerootcauses,completesaferepairs,andcommunicateequipmentstatusandrecoverytimingtooperationsleadership.
• Perform mechanical,pneumatic,electrical,sensor,motor,and control-systemtroubleshootingwithinthetechnician'sdemonstratedtrainingandqualifications.
• Supportequipmentsetup,changeovers,adjustments,linetrials,installations,commissioning,andproductionstartup.
• Partnerwithproductionand Qualitypersonneltoensurerepairsandadjustmentsprotectproductquality,fillaccuracy,packagingintegrity,andsafeoperation.

• Develop,execute,anddocumentpreventive-maintenanceschedulesforfilling,packaging,utility,andfacilityequipment.
• Maintainaccurateservicehistories,inspection records,downtimeinformation,manuals,drawings,and equipment-specificmaintenanceprocedures.
• Inspectequipmentforwear,leaks,looseconnections,guardingconcerns,andotheremergingfailurerisksbeforetheyinterruptproduction.
• Recommendandimplementpracticalimprovementsthatincreaseuptime,equipmentlife,changeoverperformance,maintainability,andoperatorsafety.
• Userecurring-failureanddowntimedatatoprioritizecorrectiveactionsandsupportcontinuous-improvement projects.

• Identify,source,andorderreplacementparts,tools,consumables,andcriticalspareswhilebalancingurgency,quality,cost,andleadtime.
• Createandmaintainanorganizedpartslibrarywithclearpartnumbers,equipmentassociations,storagelocations,minimumquantities,andreorderpoints.
• Monitorpartsusageandavailabilitysocriticalsparesareonhandforhigh-riskequipmentandcommonlyoccurringfailures.
• Coordinatewithequipmentmanufacturersandserviceprovidersfortechnicalsupport,repair services,warranties,upgrades,andreplacementcomponents.
• Participateinvendor-ledtechnicaltraining,includingtravelorscheduleadjustmentswhenrequired,andtranslatelearningintointernalproceduresandoperatorguidance.

• Followandenforcelockout/tagout,electrical safety,machine guarding,PPE,chemical-handling,flammable-liquid,andsafe-work requirements.
• Maintain clean,orderly,andaudit-readymaintenanceworkspaces,tools,parts storage,andequipmentdocumentation.
• Supportfacilitymaintenanceneedsinvolvingutilities,compressedair,lighting,docks,doors,andotherbuildingsystemsasassigned.
• Escalatesafety,quality,compliance,orreliabilityriskspromptlyandstopworkwhenconditionsareunsafe.

• Hands-onmaintenanceexperiencewithfragrance,cosmetics,personal-care,beverage,pharmaceutical,chemical,orcomparableliquid-fillingmachinery.
• Demonstratedexperienceperformingpreventivemaintenance,equipmenttroubleshooting,repair,andmaintenancedocumentationinamanufacturingenvironment.
• Workingknowledgeofmechanicalsystems,pneumatics,pumps,motors,sensors,conveyors,andbasicindustrialelectricalsystems.
• Experiencesourcingandorderingpartsandmaintaininganaccurate,organizedspare-partsinventoryorpartslibrary.
• Abilitytoreadequipmentmanuals,diagrams,specifications,andtechnicaldocumentation.
• Willingnessandabilitytoworkflexiblehours,respondtoafter-hoursserviceneeds,andparticipateinanon-call rotation.
• Willingnesstotrainwithmachinevendorsandlearnthelatestfilling,packaging,automation,andmaintenancetechnology.
• Abilitytosafelyliftupto
  50poundsandregularlystand,walk,bend,reach,climb,andworkaroundmanufacturingequipment.

• DirectexperiencemaintainingPKBliquid-fillingequipment.
• Bilingual English/Spanishcommunicationskills.
• Experienceinfragrance,cosmetics,beauty,personal care,oranotherGMP-regulatedmanufacturingenvironment.
• Technicaldegree,industrial-maintenancecertification,electricaltraining,orequivalentskilled-tradeseducation.
• ExperiencewithPLCdiagnostics,variable-frequencydrives,automatedcontrols,CMMSsoftware,5S,androot-cause analysis.
