Description
SUMMARYNoble General Contracting Co. (Noble GC), an affiliate of RHM Real Estate Group, is seeking a highly-motivated, self-starting General Construction Technician to join our team and take on a variety of exciting multi-family housing projects throughout Columbus, Ohio.
This hands-on role will involve supporting the Construction Manager in the construction, renovation, and maintenance of both new build and value-add projects, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. RESPONSIBILITIES- Execute general construction tasks, including drywall installation, electrical work, and repairs, across value-add projects, new builds, and maintenance assignments.
- Measure, cut, and install drywall for new builds and renovations; perform patching and repair to meet structural and aesthetic standards.
- Perform painting tasks as needed on new builds, renovations, and touch-ups, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct basic electrical installations and repairs, troubleshoot circuits, replace fixtures, and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Work closely with the Project Coordinator to ensure all tasks are executed efficiently to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Engage professionally and courteously with clients, team members, and subcontractors, promoting a positive working environment.
- Contribute to maintaining high standards for appearance and functionality across project sites.
- Complete assigned work orders and document progress and completion using company systems.
- Assist in the unit turn process for multi-family facilities, including drywall, electrical, and general repairs, to prepare units within target timelines.
- Support preventive maintenance and inspections on job sites, assisting with identifying potential issues before they arise.
- Adhere to and advocate for all job site and company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 4+ years experience in residential and/or multi-family renovation, construction, or repair positions required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Additional vocational or specialized trade school is a plus.
- Highly proficient in construction and renovation trades including carpentry, flooring, cabinet/counter installation, plumbing system repairs, electrical system installation, and more.
- Supply your own tools for all common maintenance repairs. The company/facility will furnish specialty tools only for unusual repairs (ex. drain snake, extension ladders)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team required.

- Working off ladders up to 20 feet off the ground. Working off stepladders up to 10 feet inside apartments
- Work under sinks and around appliances by bending down or lying on your back
- Moving appliances including refrigerators, washer, dryers, and ranges
- Lifting and carrying up to 80 pounds
- Bending over appliances or mechanical equipment for repairs or cleaning
- Walking and or standing for an entire workday
- Climbing flights of stairs to access work on higher floors
- Assembling small parts in appliances, mechanical equipment, plumbing and electrical fixtures, etc.
- Reading repair instructions
- Logging or describing in writing work hours, repairs made and or materials used
- Working in inclement weather
- Operating hand and power tools

BENEFITS & COMPENSATION- Starting pay range: $27.00/hr - $30.00/hr
