Are you a skilled problem-solver who enjoys figuring out how things work and getting customers back up and running? As a Service Technician with Commercial Parts & Service (CPS), you’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial food service equipment while delivering the professional, dependable service our customers count on.
This role combines technical expertise with customer service. You’ll diagnose equipment problems, determine effective solutions, help customers make informed repair-or-replace decisions, and document the work performed.
Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and service commercial refrigeration and/or cooking equipment, working independently or as part of a technician team.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics to identify equipment issues and determine appropriate repairs.
Perform inspections and diagnostic work to identify maintenance needs and help ensure commercial food service equipment operates properly.
Deliver Exceptional Customer ServiceCommunicate professionally with customers about equipment issues and available solutions.
Assist customers in making informed repair-or-replace decisions with creativity and integrity.
Provide information needed to develop estimates for equipment repair or replacement.
Document Your WorkComplete written work orders that clearly describe equipment issues, work performed, and the service solution provided.
Maintain accurate service documentation to support effective communication with customers and the CPS team.
Work Safely & ProfessionallyPromote a safe working environment and follow established safety procedures.
Represent CPS professionally while working at customer locations and alongside other technicians.
Required QualificationsAbility to read and understand wiring diagrams and equipment schematics.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair commercial refrigeration and/or cooking equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent job experience.
Preferred QualificationsElectrical, Gas, Steam, Refrigeration, and/or HVAC licensing or certification.
Physical RequirementsAbility to regularly exert up to 50 pounds of force and frequently exert up to 100 pounds of force.
Ability to climb and work from ladders and to stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and grasp as necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
