Position Summary

Rine Landscape Group is seeking an experienced Landscape Enhancement Team Leader to lead a team of one (1) to two (2) team members in completing residential landscape enhancements and small-scale work‑order projects. The Team Leader plans and coordinates daily work; leads team members; operates commercial‑grade equipment; and is responsible for efficiency, quality, equipment care, safe work practices, and professional communication. This position requires knowledge of horticultural practices, landscape construction, irrigation, lighting, and the maintenance requirements of installed landscape and hardscape elements.

The Team Leader works closely with management and sales and reports directly to the Maintenance Production Manager.

Starting at $22 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities Team Leadership and Production
  • Plan and organize daily job assignments, work sequencing, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Prioritize and complete work within the established scope, budgets, and production goals while meeting company quality standards and client expectations.
  • Train and guide team members in landscape best practices, equipment operation, safety requirements, and company policies and procedures.
  • Address routine onsite team concerns and communicate significant personnel, performance, or job‑site issues to management.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and team‑oriented work environment.
Enhancement and Installation Work
  • Complete residential landscape enhancement projects, including planting, mulching, edging, pruning, corrective pruning, over seeding, sod installation, and small‑scale landscape construction.
  • Repair, replace, or clean patios and other installed landscape or hardscape elements as assigned.
  • Replace dead or damaged plant material and report the probable cause of decline.
  • Repair or replace low‑voltage landscape lighting.
  • Service garden ponds and perform minor irrigation repairs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client properties and communicate recommendations to management.
  • Apply chemicals under the direction of a licensed applicator and according to company procedures.
Driving and Equipment
  • Safely operate company trucks and truck/trailer combinations.
  • Perform required daily vehicle, trailer, and equipment inspections.
  • Ensure equipment and materials are properly loaded, secured, and transported.
  • Maintain clean and organized vehicles, trailers, equipment, and job sites.
  • Safely operate commercial‑grade landscape equipment, including mini excavators, skid steers, stand‑on skid steers, tillers, sod cutters, string trimmers, mowers, plant augers, chainsaws, hand tools, and other equipment as assigned.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and promptly notify the mechanic or management of damage, malfunctions, or repair needs.
Client Communication and Documentation
  • Interact professionally with clients and provide a positive client experience.
  • Address routine client questions and communicate concerns and requests to management.
  • Complete required mobile time tracking, material allocation, paperwork, inspections, and reports accurately and on time.
Winter Operations
  • Participate in snow removal operations and safely operate assigned snow removal equipment during the winter months.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years of professional residential landscape enhancement experience
  • Experience working independently and leading a small landscape enhancement team
  • Working knowledge of horticultural practices, including planting, pruning, corrective pruning, weed identification and control, and fertilization
