CFT Sheet Metal Modification Technician

A leading aerospace services provider is seeking a CFT Sheet Metal Modification Technician to join their on-site aircraft maintenance team. This full-time hourly role offers a comprehensive benefits package and 401k. The position involves working on USAF KC-135 aircraft with a focus on sheet metal modifications and aerospace structural repairs.

• Install and test aerospace structural components, including fasteners and fabricated parts, following technical manuals and directives.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to support modification, repair, and replacement tasks.
• Perform extensive fastener installation and removal, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Support the training of other technicians in re-skinning, trimming, drilling, and installing aircraft skins.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work activities and QA compliance, adhering to safety standards.

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in structural, sheet metal, machining, or composites.
• Technical training from a trade or military school related to structural or sheet metal work.
• FAA Airframe license with relevant aviation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical publications.
• Knowledge of aerospace tooling, structural repair standards, and QA standards such as AS9100.
