The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Training Specialist to join our Foster Care department. The Training Specialist oversees all Foster Care Resource Family training and supports Child Welfare staff onboarding and department-specific training. Responsibilities include conducting training needs assessments, developing the agency’s foster care training plan, ensuring compliance with DCY regulations, creating curricula, scheduling and coordinating trainings, and selecting and monitoring trainers.
The role provides pre-service and ongoing instruction and collaborates closely with Foster Care staff, Child Welfare programs, and shared services. The position also participates in county, state, and national committees as needed. Flexible hours—including evenings and weekends—and travel to program sites in Newark, Cincinnati, Whitehall, and Dayton are required to support training operations.

- You have a bachelor's degree in a human service related field.
- You preferably have an active LSW or LPC.
- You have at least three years of relevant experience.
- You have an active driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
