Peer Recovery Supporter
Full time, 40 hours per week. Onsite. Non‑Essential. Schedule will fall within the hours of Monday – Friday 5:45 am – 3:30 pm.
SummaryThe Peer Recovery Supporter is an active member of the treatment team, providing support to our patients from the perspective of an individual with a lived experience in recovery. They will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to recovering individuals on medication‑assisted treatment, to help prevent relapse and promote long‑term recovery. The Peer Recovery Supporter must demonstrate an ability to develop & sustain authentic peer‑to‑peer relationships.
EssentialFunctions
- Assist new patients in navigating their care with Comp Drug
- Provide support and motivation to new patients in moving through treatment requirements and protocols
- Serve as an advocate for patients
- Ensure patients are apprised of and connected with all of Comp Drug’s services
- Serve as role model, exhibit healthy coping and problem‑solving skills
- Conduct peer‑led groups with Comp Drug patients and members of the community.
- Via the drop‑in center, provide a supportive and safe environment for patients.
- Model appropriate boundaries as both patient and staff
- Maintain regular and timely attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Certified Peer Recovery Supporter
Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Requires regular use of hands and fingers to operate computer and mobile device. Employees regularly move between the buildings of Comp Drug’s campus.
