Psychologist
Full Time, 10 month position
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 2:55 pm
September through June
Job DescriptionTo provide counseling services through clinical interventions and social skills lessons to students who are in need of mental health support services.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical interventions to support students in a school setting
- Provide group and individual counseling to students with a focus on improving social emotional skills
- Provide trauma informed practices to students in need
- Assess and analyze pre and post outcomes
- Plan, organize, and direct Project Resilience initiatives
- Develop and facilitate Professional Development for staff, families and mental health partners
- Provide guidance to parents to assist them in understanding and seeking assistance to address their child's emotional and social needs
- Plan, organize and facilitate parent groups and community forums
- Prepare monthly reports
- Collaborate and coordinate services with other support professionals and teachers
- Provide and organize in-services and staff development programs
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Life and Personnel Services
- Should possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Applicants must be positive, energetic, flexible and a team player that can assist in creating Project Resilience.
- Applicants should possess patience and solid communication skills.
- Applicants must also be highly organized, able to multitask and adjust to changes in school environments.
- Applicants must have reliable transportation.
- Master's or Dr. degree in Counseling Psychology.
- NJ certificate as a School Psychologist or LPC.
- Experience as a clinical counselor.
