As a partner in building brighter futures for youth and their families, this role primarily facilitates engaging, intentional and productive meetings that lead to tangible outcomes related to child safety, permanency and well‑being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitates a variety of in‑person meetings crucial to the delivery of quality ongoing child welfare casework including but not limited to:
    Critical Event Family Team Meetings, Initial Case Plan meetings, Semi‑Annual Reviews, Permanency Round Tables, Case Mappings, Case Transfer meetings, Disruption meetings, and Targeted Review Meetings.
  • Represents child welfare perspective on OhioRISE Child and Family Team meetings, as needed.
  • Actively collaborates in family‑finding efforts with child welfare workers and the kinship department to ensure families’ natural supports.
  • Interacts with family members through telephone correspondence and home visits to prepare families for team meetings.
  • Coordinates schedules, invitations, and compliance tracking for required contacts.
  • Documents in alignment with OAC, ORC and contractual requirements.
  • Coaches, supports and mentors program staff in the transfer of learning from the training environment to the field experience.
  • Serves on the weekend and after‑hours on‑call rotation.
  • Attends in‑person direct supervision, program meetings, and organizational events as scheduled.
  • Manages a small caseload, when needed.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to use a computer; familiarity with Word, Outlook, and Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field;
    Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of previous experience working as a caseworker in child welfare.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong teamwork, organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Willingness to be flexible; demonstrates professionalism.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License and maintains a driving record that allows insurability with the company’s vehicle insurance.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to handle bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, reaching, and walking for periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds independently.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company.
