RREACT Engagement Specialist

• Use lived experience to offer emotional, social, and practical support to individuals facing similar challenges, fostering a sense of hope, empowerment, and motivation for recovery.
• Serve as a role model by sharing personal experiences and demonstrating strategies for overcoming challenges and promoting recovery‑oriented behaviors.
• Assist individuals in accessing appropriate services and community resources, such as mental health and substance use treatment, employment and healthcare.
• Lead or co‑facilitate support groups or educational sessions.
• Advocate for clients' needs with other service providers, ensuring they have access to the services and support required for their recovery.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of client interactions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with agency guidelines and expectations.
• Offer support in crisis situations by providing de‑escalation techniques, offering resources, and ensuring the individual's safety.
• Work closely with mental health professionals, social workers, case managers, and other team members to provide integrated care for clients.

• Peer Recovery Support certification required (PRS).
• Valid Ohio driver’s license. Will transport clients in own vehicle.
• Must have proof of current auto insurance coverage and meet driving record requirements.
