Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, public administration, human services, community development, nonprofit management, communications, or a related field; three (3) or more years of related experience in resident services, community engagement, social services, public or assisted housing, program coordination, or a related field; supervisory, lead worker, or project management experience preferred;
or any combination of education, experience, and/or training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver s license and must maintain insurability according to the Housing Authority s insurance policy. Additional certifications may be required or preferred depending on program, grant, or funding requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Employee has exposure to chemical compounds found in an office environment (e.g., toner, correction fluid, etc.); this is considered sedentary work and the employee must demonstrate the ability to perform the physical demands required of the position in accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor’s physical demands strength ratings.
In cases of emergency, unpredictable situations, and/or department needs, may be required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry objects heavier than D.O.L. strength ratings recommend.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND WORKER CHARACTERISTICS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
For purposes of 42 USC 12101:
25% Resident Council Administration, Compliance, and Community Engagement Program Support Coordinates and oversees Resident Council operations, including council support, leadership development, elections, governance documentation, stipend or budget-related documentation where applicable, Jurisdiction-Wide Resident Council communication, and compliance with applicable HUD and CMHA requirements. Develops, interprets, and implements related policies, standard operating procedures, work plans, and internal tracking systems. Supports community engagement programs, service activities, and engagement strategies across assigned communities.
20% Staff Supervision and Leadership. Supervises two Community Engagement Specialists assigned to geographic regions. Interviews candidates and recommends hiring decisions; assigns work; provides training, coaching, and technical assistance; conducts performance evaluations; supports professional development; monitors work quality and productivity; and recommends corrective or disciplinary action when appropriate. Ensures Specialists maintain consistent presence and communication in assigned communities.
15% Events, Volunteer Activities, and Community Programming. Coordinates and supports community- specific resource fairs, community programs, employee volunteer activities, and department-wide or signature events, including events such as the Harmony Ball.
