Join Centric Consulting – A Culture You’ll Love

At Centric Consulting, we've cultivated a unique approach to business. Our business is built on three fundamental principles:
Enjoy the people you work with, have fun, and do great work. These principles define our consulting model and have crafted one of the most vibrant cultures in the consulting industry – celebrating individuals, collaboration, and lifelong friendships.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can work independently and deliver high‑quality solutions with minimal supervision. You’ll work on Java Spring Boot microservices, RESTful APIs, and event‑driven architectures deployed on AWS, while leveraging AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve quality. You’ll contribute across a modern stack—Java/Spring Boot, Angular/.NET, and Postgre

SQL (including efforts tied to the MSSQL → Postgre

SQL migration)—and help us advance AI‑first application delivery. If you thrive in fast‑moving environments, take end‑to‑end ownership, and enjoy raising engineering standards, this is a great fit.

In this role, you will:
  • Backend Services on AWS:
Design and evolve Spring Boot services and REST APIs deployed to AWS, emphasizing resilience, performance, and maintainability as we transition off on‑prem systems.
  • Asynchronous Patterns:
Ship features using Kafka and AWS messaging (e.g., SNS/SQS/Kinesis), applying solid event design (publish/subscribe), thoughtful retry logic, and safe, idempotent workflows.
  • Data Strategy:
Shape schemas and optimize read/write paths across Postgre

    SQL, Mongo

DB, and Redis; balance correctness with speed and cost efficiency.
  • AI‑Accelerated Delivery:
Use tools like Git Hub Copilot and Amazon Q to streamline coding, tests, documentation, and CI/CD interactions—keeping human‑in‑the‑loop for judgement and security.
  • Quality Built‑In:
Define test approaches (unit, integration, contract), keep CI gates meaningful, and partner on pipeline improvements as we adopt AWS EKS.
  • Operate with Insight:
Instrument services with New Relic (or similar), set pragmatic SLIs/SLOs, and participate in a light on‑call rotation.
  • Secure by Design:
Apply secure coding practices, triage and remediate findings, and maintain awareness of PCI and SOX obligations.
  • Lead Through Craft:
Facilitate design discussions, mentor teammates, and set a high bar for code quality and review etiquette.
  • Own the Outcome:
Practice “build it, run it”—from development through production stability and continuous improvement.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field —or equivalent practical experience.
  • Seasoned Builder: 5–8+ years in software engineering, including 3–5+ years crafting Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs in production.
  • Cloud & Events Practitioner:
Hands‑on experience with AWS (compute, storage, messaging) and event‑driven architectures using Kafka, SNS/SQS, or Kinesis.
  • Data Fluent:
    Comfortable with Postgre

    SQL, Mongo

DB, and Redis, and able to contribute meaningfully to a MSSQL → Postgre

    SQL migration.
  • Disciplined Engineer:
Strong testing habits, CI/CD familiarity, and consistent, thoughtful code reviews.
  • Observability Mindset:
Experience with New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, or similar tooling, plus incident response participation.
  • Nice to Have: Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform/CDK), containers/orchestration (EKS/ECS), serverless (Lambda); exposure to schema registries/CDC/stream processing; experience with AI‑assisted dev and Dev Sec Ops ; working knowledge of PCI/SOX.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS: remote with quarterly travel to Tulsa, OK
Total Rewards:

We proudly offer competitive compensation, a comprehensive and well‑rounded benefits package for full‑time employees that have been designed to nourish your well‑being, such as health coverage, wellness programs, 401K company match, self‑managed PTO, and other unique incentives that celebrate your…
