Senior Mobile Engineer

Description BBI Logistics is seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Engineer who thrives at the intersection of cross-platform and native development. This role is ideal for someone who can architect high-quality mobile experiences in React Native while also diving deep into native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) when performance, platform-specific features, and complex integrations demand it. A strong understanding of C# and ASP.NET

backend services is ideal, as you’ll collaborate closely with backend teams and occasionally contribute to server-side components. This role is a 100% on-site role at our office in Columbus, OH.

• Lead the design and development of advanced mobile applications using React Native.
• Build and maintain native modules and features in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android).
• Collaborate with backend engineers and head of engineering to integrate mobile apps with ASP.NET/C# services and APIs.
• Architect scalable, maintainable, and testable mobile codebases.
• Drive technical decision-making, code reviews, and best practices across the mobile team.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and user experience across both platforms.
• Work closely with product, design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features end-to-end.

• 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency with React Native, including hooks, navigation, animations, and native bridging.
• Strong hands-on experience with Swift and Kotlin, with the ability to implement native modules or full native screens when needed.
• Solid understanding of C#, ASP.NET, RESTful APIs, and backend integration patterns.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and app store deployment.
• Strong grasp of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, Redux-style state management, Clean Architecture).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across the full stack.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Experience working in a relevant industry, such as logistics or finance.
• Experience with Graph
  
  QL, Web Sockets, or real-time data.
• Familiarity with Azure.
• Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
• Experience collaborating with UX/UI and an eye for design and detail.
