The NF Integrated Digital Services team is seeking a detail-oriented Software Engineer with advanced Java, SQL, and AWS infrastructure skills to support eB2B systems. eB2B enables critical business processes for the Annuities, Life Insurance, and Retirement Solutions lines of business, ensuring Firms and Advisors can issue new business and service their customers efficiently.
As a Software Engineer on the eB2B team, you will play a critical role in supporting the eB2B Run Team by managing infrastructure tasks, incident resolution, and file transfer operations. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery processes. Additionally, you will maintain DTCC and non‑DTCC feed transmissions, working closely with team members and business partners to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability across platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Strong experience in software development and infrastructure support.
- Hands‑on expertise with CI/CD tools and pipeline management.
- Knowledge of file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP) and data feed systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in AWS infrastructure.
- Analyze, develop, test, debug, document, and deploy software according to standards in an agile environment.
- Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Utilize Dev Sec Ops practices, tooling, and techniques.
- Drive continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training.
- Manage medium to large project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables proactively.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Education: Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or related degree. Technology experience or non‑traditional certificates can substitute.
Experience: Four or more years of analysis and technology experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript. Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle complex business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge is a plus.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence. Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and Human Resources Business Partner.
Job ConditionsReporting Relationships: Reports to a Technology Manager/Director.
Overtime Eligibility: Not Eligible (Exempt).
Working Conditions: Office environment may vary based on team and/or location. Associates may have on‑call responsibility after normal working hours and/or on weekends.
