We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer to join a collaborative Agile team supporting mission-critical applications in a public sector environment. This role focuses on modernizing legacy systems into scalable, high-performance .NET applications using C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, and SQL Server
.

You will work cross-functionally with project managers, business analysts, QA engineers, and product owners to deliver end-to-end solutions—from requirements gathering and system design to development, deployment, and production support.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain ASP.NET Core MVC and Web API applications using C# and .NET Core (.NET 5/6/8)
  • Lead modernization efforts by rewriting legacy applications into scalable N-tier architectures
  • Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and web services
  • Work with SQL Server for database design, development, and performance tuning
  • Implement Entity Framework (EF) for data access and ORM solutions
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops (Git, Boards, Pipelines)
  • Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and modern testing strategies
  • Support microservices architecture and service-oriented design (SOA/WCF)
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and mentoring junior developers
  • Ensure applications are mobile-compliant, secure, and performance-optimized
  • Develop and maintain SSRS reports and AJAX-based front-end interactions
  • Provide production support and troubleshooting for deployed applications
Required Skills / Education
  • 10+ years of experience in .NET Web Development
  • Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, and Web API development
  • 10+ years of experience with SQL Server (database design & development)
  • Hands-on experience with Entity Framework (EF)
  • Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and WCF
  • Solid understanding of N-tier architecture and distributed systems
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops / TFS (Git, CI/CD, Boards, Pipelines)
  • 5+ years working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and web services
  • Familiarity with AJAX, SSRS reporting, and mobile-responsive applications
  • Experience using Visual Studio 2019 or later
  • Exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD) or automated testing strategies
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Prior experience supporting government or public safety systems
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide technical teams
