Lead DevOps Engineer

10 is currently seeking a Lead Dev Ops Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking a hands‑on Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, cloud‑native platforms that enable secure and efficient application delivery. This role focuses on Kubernetes and Open Shift platforms, Git Ops‑driven CI/CD workflows, and automation across OCP, Azure, and GCP. The ideal candidate is passionate about developer enablement, infrastructure as code, and building resilient, self‑service platforms using modern automation and cloud technologies.

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large‑scale planning for Software Engineering
• Review and analyze complex multi‑faced, larger scale or longer‑term Software Engineering challenges
• Contribute to the resolution of complex situations requiring a solid understanding of the function, policies, and procedures
• Drive Dev Ops transformation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Git Ops based delivery models
• Design and enable end‑to‑end Dev Ops workflows, integrating infrastructure automation with CI/CD pipelines (Git Ops / Git Hub Actions) to support microservices deployment at scale
• Automate microservices deployments across Kubernetes and OCP environments
• Implement Git Ops workflows using declarative configurations and JSON/YAML based pipelines
• Enable cloud‑native platform delivery across Azure and GCP
• Embed Dev Sec Ops  practices, observability, and pipeline instrumentation to improve visibility into pipeline performance
• Establish centralized version tracking and release visibility to improve governance and traceability

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education
• Hands‑on Dev Ops and platform engineering expertise
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Git Ops‑based delivery models
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git Ops / Git Hub Actions)
• Experience with microservices deployments across Kubernetes and OCP environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP
• Experience with automation and tooling using Python
• Strong collaborator focused on developer enablement and self‑service platforms

Pay range: $59.53 - $67.53 per hour
