We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers delivering enterprise-grade, cloud-native applications. This role combines hands-on technical expertise, people leadership, and stakeholder management, with a strong focus on modern Java development, cloud platforms, and agile delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical guidance and mentorship to a team of software engineers
• Set clear expectations for team output, engineering practices, and collaboration standards
• Lead and deliver technology initiatives and projects aligned with business objectives
• Anticipate and manage dependencies across teams to ensure timely delivery of products and applications
• Manage stakeholder relationships in alignment with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
• Produce and review architecture and design artifacts for complex, large-scale systems
• Ensure software development adheres to design constraints, security, resiliency, and quality standards
• Oversee development of secure, high-quality, production-ready code
• Drive adoption of automation, CI/CD, and continuous improvement practices
• Cultivate a team culture centered on diversity, inclusion, opportunity, and mutual respect
• Coach and develop engineers, serving as a technical mentor and subject-matter expert

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Bachelor's degree or formal training/certification in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 9+ years of applied software engineering experience
• Proven experience leading technology projects and managing technologists
• Strong proficiency developing microservices using Java and the Spring Boot framework
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies
• Advanced proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, including:
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
  • Application resiliency
  • Security best practices
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Practical experience building cloud-native applications
• Strong understanding of financial services technology environments or other highly regulated industries
• Demonstrated expertise across multiple technology disciplines
