Who We’re Looking For

Per Scholas is seeking a detail‑oriented, problem‑solving instructor who is technical, instructional, and can adapt quickly to a dynamic environment. Candidates should be business‑mindful, accountable, and excel in delivering high‑expectation instruction for students.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead instructor‑led training for entry‑level to mid‑level AWS Dev Ops Engineering careers, including daily instruction, assessment administration, and individual tutoring.
  • Provide students with relevant learning resources and study aids.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify student needs, establish individualized plans, and participate in student‑status meetings.
  • Maintain student grades, certification scores, and progress notes in Salesforce or the LMS.
  • Support and update training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and classroom materials.
Instructional Skill Sets
  • 1‑3 years of teaching or training experience
  • Strong technical background that can be clearly communicated
  • Clear verbal communication via Zoom or in‑person training
Required Skill Sets
  • AWS Professional Mastery: Deep knowledge of the AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer Professional (DOP-C02) exam domains
  • SDLC Automation: Expertise building and debugging CI/CD pipelines using Code Commit, Code Build, Code Deploy, and Code Pipeline
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency provisioning multi‑account environments with Cloud Formation, Ops Works, and Elastic Beanstalk
  • Observability & Logging: Ability to configure and audit systems using Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, and X‑Ray
  • High Availability & Resilience: Experience architecting self‑healing solutions using Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancing, and Route 53
  • Security & Governance: Understanding of IAM policies, Config, KMS, and Secrets Manager for automated compliance
  • Serverless & Event Automation: Skills developing Lambda functions for event‑driven remediation via Event Bridge
  • Certification: Active AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer – Professional certification highly preferred
Preferred Skill Sets
  • Generative AI Integration: Demonstrate use of LLMs and Copilots for debugging, IaC template generation, and documentation automation
  • Advanced Scripting: Proficiency in Python for automated remediation scripts and AWS SDK (Boto3) resource management
  • Cloud Architecture: Prior experience as a Cloud Dev Ops Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer in a multi‑region enterprise environment
Professional Qualifications

Compensation

The hourly range for this role is $60.00 – $65.00. Salary is generally determined by geography and alignment with qualifications and experience.
