SDET​/Automation QA Engineer

Location

Hybrid and based out of corporate office locations in Columbus, OH;
Austin, TX; or Denver, CO. Strong remote candidates may be considered if a suitable local skill match is not identified.

The expected salary range for this position is $125,000–$145,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.

• Work closely with Product & Design to understand product requirements across internal and external applications
• Develop and document manual and automated testing plans based on product requirements
• Review business requirements and recommend changes to develop reliable applications
• Build automated end‑to‑end tests using the Playwright testing automation framework
• Build automated API tests using Postman or similar and implement automated tests in code
• Build and analyze performance tests
• Perform manual and exploratory testing as appropriate
• Automate regression testing for scalability
• Write API tests in code using Type Script
• Streamline and automate release processes while ensuring stability and quality
• Ensure critical financial math is accurate and in line with mortgage industry standards
• Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines
• Aid users and program teams in investigating and reproducing bugs found in production
• Prioritize and categorize bugs with management
• Identify applications and areas producing higher bug rates
• Become an expert in the expected behavior of mortgage applications
• Explore and develop AI testing frameworks, confirming effective use and limitations

• 3+ years in QA and SDET
• Mid or senior level depending on experience, technical depth, and leadership capabilities
• Experience working in an agile environment with team members in other cities and states
• Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills, in discussions, Slack, and documentation
• Familiarity with database testing, security testing, and accessibility testing is a plus
