Detailed DescriptionThis is an entry level position for individuals who are driven, well-organized, and knowledgeable of core technical principles. Candidates must be self-motivated, tenacious, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. They will be expected to take ownership of their work, consistently meet deadlines, and contribute meaningfully to the team’s objectives. This role also involves owning aspects of, and supporting the design, development, and implementation of, innovative solutions that help shape the company’s technical vision.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Design, prototype, and develop technical solutions using modern programming languages, frameworks, and tools to contribute to the creation of scalable, secure, and innovative solutions
- Support evaluation and implementation through iterative development and prototyping
- Assist in completing and documenting evaluations of products, systems, and software across architectural and technical domains including interfaces, services, dependencies, and limitations
- Present research findings and technical insights to team members and technology leadership in a clear and concise manner
- Aid in the creation of “technology shorts” videos and other culture empowerment content for the broader organization
- Participate in presentations and demos at various internal technology forums to share knowledge and promote innovation
- Work collaboratively within and across technical teams
- Be flexible and proactive, taking on tasks that may extend beyond traditional development roles
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Be someone the team can rely on to get things done
- Schedule and facilitate meetings as needed, and actively communicate with team members and leadership on project status, blockers, and next steps
- 1+ year of programming experience and a bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent experience through coursework, internships, or work experience
- Proficiency in Java or other programming languages such as C#, Python, or similar
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear concepts for various stakeholders
- Strong business and technical aptitude with willingness to learn business and software solutions
- Solid understanding of software development principles, programming concepts, and technical problem-solving
- Strong organizational, analytical, decision making, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, and prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment
- High level of professionalism and confidence with the ability to build credibility across teams and stakeholders
- Familiarity or experience with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops or similar CI/CD tools is a plus
- Basic technical knowledge of networking, operating systems, and source control systems
- Experience with IDEs and build tools such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, Visual Studio, or Maven
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
