Job Description Java Platform Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Platform Engineer with strong expertise in modern Java development, platform engineering, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies. The ideal candidate should have experience building reusable frameworks, scalable services, and event-driven solutions for enterprise environments.

Required Skills & Experience

* Deep hands-on experience with Java 17+/21+ and Spring Boot (3.x preferred).

* Strong background in building shared frameworks, reusable components, and platform services, beyond traditional application development.

* Extensive experience designing and developing REST APIs and working with OpenAPI standards/specifications.

* Proven experience implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka.

* Strong understanding of distributed systems and related design patterns, including:
Resilience and fault tolerance

* Retry mechanisms

* Circuit breakers

* High-availability architectures

Nice to Have

* Experience integrating with legacy enterprise systems, including: z/OS

* Mainframe platforms

* CIS systems

* Exposure to Redis, Kafka, and Oracle in large-scale, high-throughput environments.

* Strong understanding of application security, including: OAuth 2.0

* OpenID Connect (OIDC)

* Secrets management

* Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as:
Splunk

* Dynatrace

* Prometheus

* Grafana

* Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and standardized build frameworks using:
Gradle

* Jenkins

* Git Lab

* Experience with container orchestration platforms:
Kubernetes

* Open Shift

* Experience working with cloud environments, with Microsoft Azure preferred.
