Sr. Java Developer

Type: 3+ Months Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), along with experience in Dev Ops and event-driven architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable integration solutions across enterprise platforms.
• Develop cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Implement event-driven solutions using Kafka.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub, Jenkins, and Maven.
• Collaborate with architects, business teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and mentor junior developers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices
  .
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Maven
  , and Agile development practices.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

• Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
• Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, and API testing tools.
• OAuth2, JWT, and API security frameworks.
• Experience with Oracle, DB2, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Exposure to IBM Web Sphere, ACE/IIB, or Data Power.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring developers is a plus.
