Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do: The Office of Management Information Systems administers the computer-based management systems across the ODH enterprise. The office is responsible for maintaining ODH computer networks and servers and for the development and implementation of strategies that support the current and future technology needs of the agency. We are seeking a Software Development Specialist to develop and maintain software to support ODH's automation testing framework and perform analysis and design.
The primary technology is Software Testing/QA Tools. This position will:
- Workwith business personnel to identify and document system software requirements
- Perform post production support for business applications which may include routine maintenance, enhancements and the need to perform research to aid in troubleshooting software production errors
- Conduct manual and automated testing, implementation and assist with documentation
- Perform software implementation tasks, including source control and deployment activities
- Assist in the development and documentation of appropriate standards and criteria for acceptable programming and systems development lifecycle activities
- Leadmeetings and discussions on technical topics in support of software development

Qualifications48 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
- -Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems AND 30 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
- -Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems AND 24 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: designing and performing systems analysis, developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications recommending application solutions and/or testing and correcting programs as it relates to testing and implementation and assisting with documentation including 12
