A Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery of product with their given account base and territory. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, work well in small groups, and enjoy a fast‑paced environment in the beverage alcohol industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections completed daily.
- Deliveries made safely and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively and with respect to customers and fellow associates.
- Assist the warehouse as needed.
- Understand documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Secure company property at all times including cash, checks and company vehicle.
- Maintain a clean and effective workplace.
- Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
- Valid standard driver’s license and meet insurance requirements.
- CDL Class A or B driver’s license; if holding a CDL, must pass a DOT physical.
- Pass a drug screen and background check.
- Willing to work flexible shifts if needed.
- Strong customer service skills and understanding of DOT rules and regulations.
- Positive, winning attitude and excellent attendance record.
- Fast‑paced individual with strong work ethic.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Operates in a warehouse environment; hours vary by shift.
- Regular, consistent attendance required.
- Dress code may vary by shift.
- Must be able to move or lift up to 165 lbs on occasion and repetitive lift of 25 lbs throughout the shift; spend shift continually moving on feet, climbing in and out of truck and up and down stairs.
- Requires standing, balancing, walking, climbing stairs, sitting, using hands, reaching, talking, hearing, and specific vision abilities.
