Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full‑Time Warehouse Forklift Operator in Columbus, OH. The role involves operating a stand‑up forklift and electric pallet jack, using an RF scanner, and performing general warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting.

• Perform general warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
• Operate forklift and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Accurately pick and pack products, audit, and stage for shipment.
• Maintain paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Meet performance measurement guidelines set by the contract.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• At least one year of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred).
• Valid Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Dependable, punctual, and with a good attendance record.
• Capability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods, and use health and safety methods.
