Job Description
We are seeking a customer‑focused, compassionate individual to drive an American Red Cross vehicle to pick‑up, deliver, and properly store products and other lightweight materials following an assigned route or as needed. You would also perform additional transport or loading duties to support ARC Blood Services. As a Red Cross Team member, you will take care of your team members—show up for every shift and give 100% while you’re there.
Interact in a positive, proactive, and customer‑focused manner with both internal and external customers, demonstrating care and compassion at all times.
- Operate vehicle for the delivery of blood products and materials safely and within traffic laws.
- Prepare for deliveries by verifying orders, loading vehicles, and maintaining route supply inventory to ensure prompt delivery of products to customers.
- Document temporary storage and transportation of blood, blood products, and materials as required by internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Provide customer service by giving basic information and interacting in a positive proactive manner with employees.
- Maintain excellent vehicle conditions by keeping the vehicle clean and checking fluid and gas levels.
- Provide shipping and receiving support as directed.

Standard ScheduleThis is a third shift position working midnight – 8 am.
Pay InformationPay rate: $17.32 per hour. Shift differential from 12 am–7 am of $3.00 per hour.
What You Need to Succeed- High School diploma or equivalent (required).
- Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record (required).
- Previous experience with a messenger service or trucking company preferred.
- Ability to drive for long periods of time.
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear; frequently lift and/or move objects 10–50 lb unassisted; push carts weighing up to 100 lb on flat flooring or ramps; stand for long periods, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch; occasionally sit and climb or balance; specific vision abilities required (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focusing);
withstand temperatures in a typical blood banking environment including refrigerators and freezers; may require climbing step ladders; operational flexibility required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs.
