Dock Worker – 3rd Shift
Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule:
Wednesday 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM;
Thursday to Saturday/Sunday Morning 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM;
Hours:
42 Hours Per Week
Position Overview:
We are currently hiring a Dock Worker for a growing logistics and distribution operation. This position plays a critical role in ensuring freight is loaded, unloaded, secured, and processed safely and efficiently throughout the shift. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, physically capable of handling freight, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

- Safely load and unload freight from trailers, containers, straight trucks, and over-the-road equipment
- Sort, stage, and move freight efficiently throughout the dock
- Utilize pallet jacks to move freight and materials
- Apply stretch-wrap manually to pallets as needed to secure loads
- Build and position portable bulkheads and dunnage in trailers
- Verify trailer and equipment numbers for accuracy
- Inspect trailers and equipment for safety and quality standards
- Set dock locks, open dock doors, and position loading ramps
- Sweep trailers and verify cleanliness before loading
- Complete security checks and ensure trailer readiness
- Respond to spotter requests and trailer movements through the warehouse management system (WMS)
- Monitor and complete assigned tasks using a tablet and WMS software
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse guidelines
- Assist with additional warehouse and dock duties as assigned
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Basic computer or tablet skills
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and dock environment
- Previous dock worker, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or freight handling experience
- Experience using pallet jacks
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial
