Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick‑up of packages; checks shipments for conformance to Fed Ex service features; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; performs related customer service functions; and performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or GED.
Minimum ExperienceSix (6) months of courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to lift 50 lbs. and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance. Good human‑relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
JobConditions
Neat appearance is required since customer contact is mandatory. Must meet and maintain the qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. A medical exam is required in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Employees operating a company vehicle must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements for the vehicle type assigned and have a good driving record as outlined in policy.
This is a non‑covered safety‑sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Pay Transparency: $23.42 per hour
