Hayward Distributing Co. is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operations Analyst who is excited to use data, process analysis, and systems thinking to improve how our parts warehouse operates. This role is built for someone who thrives on understanding process flows, identifying inefficiencies through data, and then personally implementing smarter, more effective ways of working. You won’t just analyze or recommend improvements, you will execute, influence how work gets done, and see the impact of your decisions firsthand on the warehouse floor.
This role is responsible for both day-to-day execution and long-term optimization of parts operations. You will use operational and inventory data to identify issues, trends, and improvement opportunities, while also developing the leadership skills needed to guide a warehouse team through change. While this is a hands-on role that spends time on the warehouse floor, comfort working with inventory data, reports, and systems is essential.
This position is ideal for an analytically minded operator who enjoys improving systems and workflows and is interested in growing into people leadership as their impact and influence expand.
Responsibilities- Lead, supervise, and develop parts warehouse employees; set clear priorities and performance expectations
- Ensure inventory accuracy across assigned areas by enforcing consistent processes and standards
- Own cycle counts, audits, and physical inventory processes, including investigation and resolution of discrepancies
- Research root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Use inventory and operational data to monitor performance, identify trends, and recommend process improvements
- Develop and maintain basic operational reports related to inventory accuracy, adjustments, and process compliance
- Maintain accurate ERP inventory records and partner with internal teams to resolve system-related issues
- Ensure proper inventory organization, labeling, bin accuracy, and warehouse layout effectiveness
- Work directly on the warehouse floor to support inventory flow and model accountability
- Identify skill gaps, role mismatches, or process breakdowns and work with leadership to address them
- Partner with warehouse operations and leadership on short-term improvements and long-term scalability of the parts department
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, analytics or related field
- Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to use data to strengthen and standardize processes while leading teams through change
- Strong understanding of inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and control processes
- Hands-on experience working with ERP-based inventory systems
- Comfortable working with inventory data and operational reports (Excel or similar tools)
- Proven ability to lead from the warehouse floor while holding teams accountable
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and follow-through
- Clear and effective communication skills with both frontline employees and leadership
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or distribution environments
- Experience in parts, equipment, or high-SKU-count distribution environments
- Prior responsibility for inventory accuracy metrics and reporting
- Experience improving or standardizing inventory and warehouse procedures
- Familiarity with barcode scanning, WMS tools, or warehouse technology
