Warehouse Supervisor

Description

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is to oversee the day to day activity within the warehouse operations. This includes filling customer orders, movement of product and supplies to our various warehouses, maintaining all warehouse equipment, training of all warehouse personnel, and onboarding of new employees.

• Manage the day to day activities of the warehouse operation
• Effectively manage and direct department employees; coaching, mentoring, corrective action, and providing direction
• Manage and be responsible for RF Scanning and inventory control
• Support and manage all the temporary help that is needed in the warehouse operation
• Control and manage all supplies needed for shipping and related areas
• Must work very close with other warehouse locations as it pertains to customer orders and supplies needed for the operation
• Respond to emergencies and call offs as required by departmental operating procedures
• Actively drive safe working practices and participate in all safe working activities.

• Minimum 5 yrs. experience in warehousing/distribution, shipping, or related field.
• Previous experience in a warehouse/packing environment
• Ability to lead a team
• Experience with JDE, SAP and WMS implementation ideal
• Effective working knowledge of process and capabilities for all Warehouse equipment
• Proficient computer skills:
  Microsoft Office Suite required
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills; verbal, written, and oral
