Job DescriptionWarehouse Associate
Position PurposeCompetitive pay: $24.00/hr.
Working hours:
Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM.
Location:
Columbus, OH.
Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company's success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards.
Responsibilities- Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, scissor lifts, and RF devices.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy, inspect quality, and report discrepancies.
- Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items, rotate date-sensitive stock, and remove outdated inventory.
- Inspect empty pallets for damage and move pallets to proper storage areas.
- Load trucks efficiently and safely, ensuring items are securely placed.
- Select customer orders accurately and safely, stacking cases onto outbound pallets.
- Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines.
- Ensure work area safety, report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Review work schedule, perform safety checks on equipment, obtain necessary supplies, and prepare for operations.
- Use all required personal protective equipment and safety gear.
- Meet required productivity and accuracy standards.
- Perform general housekeeping duties as needed.
- Secure all equipment and complete necessary paperwork at shift end.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
- At least 6 months of experience operating a forklift and/or pallet jack.
- Ability to work scheduled/assigned times and required overtime.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; lift, stack, and/or pull products weighing between 10–35 pounds, and generally up to approximately 60–90 pounds.
- Experience working in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
- Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
- Food service distribution or related industry experience.
