RECEIVING MANAGER
Warehouse Operations | Columbus, Ohio
Full-Time | On-Site
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Receiving Manager to lead all inbound operations at our trading card warehouse in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be the first line of quality control for every shipment that enters our facility — ensuring accuracy, speed, and accountability from the dock door to the bin. You will manage best practices across our warehouse systems and play a key role in maintaining the integrity of one of the most exciting product categories in the hobby industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesInbound Operations
- Oversee all incoming shipments, including sports cards, trading card games, sealed product, singles, and related hobby merchandise.
- Coordinate daily receiving schedules to ensure timely and accurate processing of all purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming freight for damage, discrepancies, and shortages; initiate claims and vendor communications as needed.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and system records with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ensure all received inventory is properly logged, labeled, and routed to appropriate staging or storage areas.
Inventory & Systems Management
- Manage and maintain inventory accuracy through the use of RF Smart for real-time warehouse scanning and bin tracking.
- Utilize Net Suite to process receipts, manage PO workflows, and maintain clean inventory records.
- Leverage Ship Station for logistics tracking and cross-functional coordination with procurement and fulfillment teams.
- Oversee the inventory binning process — assigning, auditing, and optimizing bin locations for maximum efficiency and pick accuracy.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
Required
- 2+ years of warehouse receiving, logistics, or inventory management experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail with a track record of maintaining high inventory accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on the warehouse floor for extended periods.
Preferred
- Hands‑on experience with Ship Station, RF Smart, and/or Net Suite.
- Familiarity with inventory binning strategies and slotting optimization.
- Knowledge of sports cards and/or trading card games (e.g., Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, sports card singles) — understanding of grading, sets, and product types is a significant plus.
- Experience in a high‑SKU or fragile goods warehouse environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for reporting and data analysis.
- Full-time onsite hourly position.
- Variable schedule — availability to work 5 days a week (either Monday‑Friday or Tuesday‑Saturday).
- 8‑hour shifts vary between 9am-7pm based on delivery schedules.
- Flexible scheduling, paid time off, and paid holidays.
