Position Overview
Ryder is hiring Warehouse Associates in Columbus, OH. The position offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and an employee discount program.
Pay & Schedule- Hourly Pay $18.00 per hour
- Overtime Pay $27.00 per hour
- Schedule:
First Shift 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers, ensuring all scanning is completed correctly. Help train dock employees on new procedures.
- Ensure the facility is secure at the end of each shift; investigate and resolve scanning issues and housekeeping.
- Perform picking and packing duties and check for evidence of product or container damage.
- Execute assigned tasks in accordance with the location’s policies and procedures, including handling materials within associated logical transactions.
- Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required.
- Participate in workgroup and other team activities to improve warehouse operations and related business functions.
- Maintain housekeeping duties for the assigned area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred.
- Operate powered industrial truck(s) such as stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks; intermediate proficiency required.
- May be required to operate manual and/or automated equipment such as a packaging line; intermediate proficiency preferred.
- Possess Powered Industrial Truck Certification.
- Ability to read, perform basic mathematics, and understand safety, work instructions, and policies in English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to input data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) used.
- Work overtime as assigned.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels.
- Work independently and as a member of a team.
- Adapt to a fast‑paced, self‑driven environment.
- Multi‑task, highly organized, and manage time effectively.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up skills.
