1st Shift Forklift Operator

1st Shift - Monday-Friday: 7am-3:30pm

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll be part of our team working as an employee in our Columbus, Ohio plant.

You’ll get to:

• Receive, check, transport, locate, prepare, and ship products and materials.
• Load and unload trucks, verify shipping and receiving documents.
• Receive and check incoming product. Transport product to various areas of the facility.
• Prepare orders for shipment. Band/shroud and label as required, stage, and load.
• Replenish assigned pick locations with product from bulk storage.
• Pull product for ship bin replenishment.
• Perform a variety of administrative functions associated with the receipt, storage and shipment of goods. This includes verification of quantities, preparation of inventory and maintenance records, and utilization of distribution forms, reports, and referral documents.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and perform daily maintenance, as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

• High school diploma or GED
• Must possess a Mac Tools forklift license to perform this job.
• Ability to learn and effective use AS400 and JDA Warehouse Management System.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and safety
• Must have good mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of tools, brands and product numbers is a plus
• Prior PIV driving experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.

• Must be able to always lift and maneuver 10 pounds in any range of motion combination from ground/ankle height through above shoulder height for the 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to frequently lift and maneuver 25 pounds in any range of motion combination from ground/ankle height through above shoulder height for the 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to often lift and maneuver 40 pounds in any range of motion combination from ground/ankle height through above shoulder height for the 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and maneuver 70 pounds (with assistance) in any range of motion combination from ground/ankle height through above shoulder height for the 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to frequently walk and stand for the 8-hour shift.

All lifting and/or maneuvering performed must comply with the proper safety techniques established and communicated by The Stanley Works EH&S program.

The Hourly rate for this position is $24.99 - $26.90.

This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The hourly rate offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements.
