Forklift Operator and Material Handler

Job Summary

This role involves operating forklifts and other material‑handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, and stack materials within the warehouse or production facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in compliance with safety guidelines and company procedures.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring accuracy in material handling and placement.
  • Transport materials and products to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility.
  • Move and load raw materials and finished products as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using scanning systems or manual logs.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues promptly.
  • Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock management tasks.
  • Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Valid forklift operator certification/license (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Proven experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and record‑keeping.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Work Environment
  • Warehouse and production setting.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and industrial equipment.
  • May require standing, bending, lifting, and extended periods of physical activity.
