Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Logistics Technician to join our team. In this role, personnel will be responsible for the receipt, storage, processing, and shipping of materials in support of production, as well as engagement in distribution activities for a multi-company, multi-divisional corporate warehousing/distribution center. All duties are performed in compliance with all Government, Company, and Departmental Operating Policies & Procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately pick, pack, stage, scale, and load customer orders for external/internal movement and prepare all pertinent documentation.
  • Accurately receive and put away incoming products and supplies, update SAP and document any discrepancies.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and complete all documentation properly.
  • Contact carriers and coordinate pickups and deliveries.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate supply of operating supplies; perform clean up and light maintenance duties to maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Store, retrieve, and transact material moves to and from storage bays and replenish storage bins.
  • Select and print deliveries and report any material issues pertaining to order fulfillment as required.
  • Actively participate in and complete all company training programs for DPs, SOPs, company policies, and safety programs, demonstrating learned knowledge on a daily basis.
  • Check the accuracy of documents to ensure proper movement of inventory; verify inventory accuracy by checking documentation and/or conducting cycle counts.
  • Actively participate in all company and departmental meetings (Job Boards, Performance Centers, MTZ, etc.), prepare pertinent documentation for exports, process orders, and shipping memos.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • One year experience in a warehouse and/or distribution environment, including order processing, inventory control, and receipts (preferred).
  • OSHA industrial truck certification (preferred).
  • Operate warehouse industrial material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, pallet transfer, high cube, ASRS, shrink bundler, strapping machines, shrink wrapper, pallet scales, conveyor, etc.
  • Familiarity with MS Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel) and SAP or equivalent systems (preferred).
  • Must have reliable transportation as the position requires working at warehousing facilities located at multiple sites.
  • Ability to learn and apply all relevant departmental procedures, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read and apply detailed information to multiple-step processes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with peers and management.
  • Computer proficiency for data‑entry transactions and RF transactions.
  • Basic math skills using a calculator (add, subtract, multiply, divide, rounding).
  • High level of personal motivation and initiative; able to work independently to complete daily tasks.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to daily work assignment changes.
  • Accuracy in maintaining hard‑copy and electronic records.
  • Team player who can participate effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability and willingness to follow directions as assigned by management, coaches, or written instructions.
  • Attention to detail, safety, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Independent decision making within the scope of operating policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal effectiveness and leadership skills to mentor others.
  • Overtime may be required for this position.
  • Physical requirements:

    lift and carry 50 lbs occasionally; lift 35 lbs overhead occasionally; stand/walk 6‑7 hours per shift; push/pull 65 lbs occasionally.
